Sentinel Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), a provider of managed network detection and response (MNDR) security services to MSPs, appoints Ted Gruenloh as CEO.
Sentinel intrusion prevention systems (IPS), an MSP and provider of managed network security services, has appointed Ted Gruenloh as CEO. Gruenloh succeeds Sentinel IPS founder David Lissberger, who will remain on the company’s board of directors.
The CEO transition comes as Sentinel seeks to deepen the Managed Network Discovery and Response (MNDR) market.
Gruenloh has over 15 years of senior management experience. He most recently served as COO of Sentinel IPS. Additionally, Gruenloh has shaped Sentinel IPS’s network security model since the company was founded in 1995, the company said. Going forward, Gruenloh said he expects Sentinel IPS to provide “the most comprehensive, cost-effective managed security and compliance solution for lean IT teams.”
Focus on Sentinel IPS
Sentinel IPS specializes in intelligent managed security in areas such as:
- Autonomous defense against threats: Includes threat mitigation and network shadowing.
- MNDR: Provides threat defense and visibility tools backed by security professionals.
- Network visibility: Provides information about the health of an organization’s network and identifies all devices infected with malware, spyware, or other malicious software.
- Vulnerability Assessment: Leverages several vulnerability analysis tools to identify vulnerabilities and exposures in the public network and suggest solutions to security issues.
Sentinel IPS offers a partnership program designed to help MSPs become MSSPs. The program enables channel partners to leverage its managed security solutions to help customers block inbound exploits, identify malware, and detect internal and external vulnerabilities, the company said.
