Single-mode fiber optic network switch with mirror technology and simultaneous channel control

Cranston, RI, June 16, 2022 — (PR.com) — The experienced team of innovative design engineers at Electro Standards Laboratories of Cranston, RI has just released its latest addition to its line of fiber optic network switches QuickSwitch®. The Model 6251 is a 4-channel, 4-position fiber optic duplex SC switch. The product allows the user to switch between positions A, B, C and D of each channel simultaneously using four independent push buttons. Therefore, by pressing button A, the four channels will switch to position A, and so on. This product is ideal for corporate, military and government digital operations, ie. information technology research/projects, sharing and transferring data between devices and enabling communication between devices.

The 6251 includes all twenty ports on the rear panel, and the front panel display includes the four labeled push buttons and LED indicators. The dimension of this model is 19″ W x 5.25″ H x 13.08″ D and is designed to fit a standard 19″ rack. The unit is a high quality sealed switch enclosed in an all metal black chassis, full rack size, 3U switch.

Each fiber port is SC Duplex, single-mode, 9/125 micron and supports 1300 nm and 1550 nm dual-window wavelengths. All fiber signals are switched via mirror switching technology based on MEMS. The model is transparent to data speed and format. This switch improved network efficiency by allowing device sharing without plugging and unplugging cables.

The included power supply is a 100VAC/240VAC, 50Hz/60Hz external wall mount. The product has a wide range of power options, ideal for international applications. The power module is 100-240 VAC input, 12 VDC output, power supply with 2-pin phoenix connectors, and is available instead of the wall power supply.
