Westcon-Comstor has expanded its distribution portfolio under a new agreement with network security and automation provider EfficientIP.

Under this partnership, EfficientIP’s Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and IP Address Management (DDI) solutions are delivered to all markets across the world. Asia-Pacific, as well as Europe and Africa.

The agreement aims to strategically expand Westcon-Comstor’s portfolio of DDI vendors to capitalize on this market growth while complementing the distributor’s existing network-focused vendors, such as Extreme Networks.

Patrick Aronson, CMO and Executive Vice President of Asia-Pacific at Westcon-Comstor, pointed out that an “increase in Internet of Things devices, shift to cloud and hybrid working” have added “threats and critical pressure” for network administrators tasked with monitoring the IP addresses of an increasing number of connected devices in a corporate network.

“EfficientIP’s DDI service allows network administrators to streamline these processes, eliminating much of the complexity associated with network protection,” he said. “Keeping network administration simple, accessible and running in real time is essential for successful management, operational efficiency and security.

“In addition, their 360° DNS security solution provides a specialized layer of defense-in-depth to protect businesses against external and internal DNS threats. The integration of EfficientIP’s solutions into Westcon-Comstor’s cybersecurity arsenal provides our partners with a valuable tool to reduce the cyber security downsides of changing ways of working and make it easier to secure corporate networks.”

The vendor’s security solution aims to cover the DNS threat landscape without leaving loopholes for hackers to exploit. The solution “tracks attacker behavior in real time and provides immediate alerts to protect critical services.”

Additionally, EfficientIP’s network automation solution aims to increase productivity, improve risk mitigation and facilitate better time to market in a mission to enable agile organizations and competitive.

“We are excited to work with Westcon-Comstor and take this opportunity to expand our presence in Asia-Pacific,” added Leonard Dahan, Vice President of Global Channels at EfficientIP. “With Westcon-Comstor operating as a distributor in Asia Pacific, we are bringing DDI and DNS security to a new network of channel partners and resellers at a faster pace.

“As enterprises understand the value of the EfficientIP solution at the heart of their strategic IT initiatives, we are delighted to support their ambition to make their network more cost effective, secure and accelerate the deployment of new applications and services with Westcon-Comstor. .”
